Do Well To Do Good. In other words, we strive to show our deepest respect for those inside and outside our company and for the communities they live in.
Founded in 1950 by Mr. Hendrik Honosutomo - an explorer at heart, gifted with a strong sense of taste and smell, journeyed to the volcanic slopes of Flores in the Nusa Tenggara Timur province. As a commodity trader, Hendrik primarily traded on agriculture and one of his favorite past times was to seek new flavors that the world of coffee provides. He recognized that within the high-altitude volcanic slopes, Hendrik found the perfect conditions to start a coffee company with his son and co-founder, George Honosutomo.
Since then, we’ve been perfecting the craft of coffee through sourcing and roasting with care for almost 70 years, borrowing on modern and ancient island traditions handed down from one generation to the next.
From five star hotels to independent coffee shops, our small-town origins are at the heart of our company; guiding our daily activities to serve an elevated coffee experience for our customers. This is what we seek to create with every cup, our love for coffee from a beautiful island.
